I have a friend who has a rather interesting dating life—seems she meets lots of boys, and not many men. Now, don’t get me wrong, she likes men, and wants to meet more of them… but that’s the issue.
She’s 30 years old, smart, fun, sexy and successful, and you would think a woman like that would have no problem meeting men. And you would be wrong.

For instance, she had a friend ask her out over Facebook. Just what did he ask her to do? Join him for a “cupcake.” No joke. Then he apologized for asking her out over Facebook (remember she’s 30, not 16).
I am NOT making this up. This really happened, and stuff like this happens more than you might think.
For the record I am not opposed to cupcakes. In fact, I have the capacity to consume large quantities of them at once, which is why I avoid them as much as possible. And if a woman asks me to join her at a bakery, I’m there, no problem.
But if you’re a MAN, who wants to attract a woman, you’ve got to act like a man. That means offering her the opportunity to spend time with you in person, and making that offer face to face—not hiding behind a computer, and not making dumbass offers.
Women appreciate men who are direct, and they do more than ever in this day and age of Facebook Cupcakes and creampuffs. They want a man who invites them out for a “beer and a steak” (if you saw the old Saturday Night Live skit with The Rock), or to a cool, classy restaurant. Or heck, just to hang out and have fun.
Being direct and doing what you think is a fun will get you much further along instead of trying to fit yourself into what you think she wants. Common sense, I know, but as they say, common sense ain’t so common. And neither are real men with manly behavior. Both will get you everywhere with women.
