Hey guys,
OK, I confess, at times, to tuning into what can only be described as junk TV, and this weekend was no exception.
There is a cable channel called G-4, and they apparently have a hit show on their hands called “Cheaters.”
*****Success Resource*****
What if everything you ever thought you knew about dating and relationships was just plain wrong? Would you keep doing the same things and getting the same results? Or would you try something new and radically different? To stop dating, and

It is yet another reality show, and by the title you can pretty much figure out what it’s about: people in relationships cheating on each other.
Here’s how it works. The person who thinks they’re being cheated on contacts the show. The show sets up a bunch of hidden cameras to document the alleged cheating.
Once the alleged cheating is documented, the person being cheated on is presented with the evidence and, of course, the opportunity to confront the cheater in front of TV cameras.
Hilarity ensues, the cheater and the cheatee duke it out, and the host of the show offers condolences so phony Bernie Madoff would applaud them. It’s junk TV at its finest.
What does not happen, of course, is reconciliation in the relationship—the confrontation in front of the cameras ends all hope of that happening. And while it is good TV, that strategy is awful if you have to deal with a similar situation.
If you’re in a relationship where things are not as they once were, and you want to restore them, the last thing you want to do is to create a situation that destroys any hope of that—and yet that’s what most people do.
They charge in without thinking, without any objective, purpose or outcome, and they turn what might be a salvageable situation into a disaster.
So, the point is this: when you’re faced with an emotionally intense situation, the best thing to do is to put yourself into a position to deal with it when you’re clear headed and have a desired outcome.
Time and circumstance has a way of changing everything—but not if you embarrass or humiliate someone, even if they deserve it.
So, save Cheaters for when you’re in the mood for some low-brow junk TV—and your focus for a time when you really need it.
On with the fun….
