Public pronouncements, private behavior

Hey guys,

If you ask anyone if they’re in favor of ending dependence on foreign oil, and shifting over to “green energy,” they’ll eagerly answer in the affirmative.

And, if you ask them if taxes should raised to help this transition, they will answer, “why, yes indeedy, they should.”  And if you ask them if they’ll be willing to contribute, they’ll answer yes again.

What if everything you ever thought you knew about dating and relationships was just plain wrong?  Would you keep doing the same things and getting the same results?  Or would you try something new and radically different?  To stop dating, and

But, if you examine their private behavior, you’ll find things are a bit different and people rarely practice what they say they’re in favor of.

T Boone Pickens recently put the American people to this test, to see if they would pay for shifting over to wind energy.  He opened his wallet, and set about raising money to develop this green energy.

Sadly, people’s talk did not result in action.  Pickens had to recently put his energy venture on hold because of lack of funds.  While people SAID they would contribute, the reality is, they did not, even when given a golden opportunity.

Most people will say anything to make themselves feel important.  They substitute words with no consequences for action with potential consequences, and get away with feeling good about themselves.

If you desire to be successful in your life, you have to be on the lookout for these people and avoid them at all costs.  All they do is talk about things, but when the chips come down, they just plain won’t do them.

What you want to do is identify those few people whose words and behaviors are congruent.  If they say they’re going to do something, they do it.  If they know they can’t or won’t, they don’t say it.

A large part of success in any area of life comes down to who you surround yourself with.  Identify talkers early, and get rid of them.  Like minded doers are the only people who will lend themselves to your getting the results you want in life.

On with the fun….
