Don’t urinate in the shower

Hey Guys,

You’d think some warnings just wouldn’t have to be posted.

Yet, there it was, as plain as day when I walked into the men’s locker room at Gold’s Gym here in Austin yesterday—a sign saying, “PLEASE—Don’t urinate in the shower.”

Yah. You’d think a sign like that wouldn’t be necessary, but obviously, it was. A small percentage of idiots are pissing in the public shower, despite the fact there are toilets about two feet away.

Now, I’m not going to speculate about the deep psychological reasons why these goofuses cannot control their urges—or won’t control them. All I know is, they’re obviously acting without thinking, and doing something pretty darn stupid.

Everyone knows you don’t piss in the shower—but some people do it anyways. And you know what, I see a lot of guys “pissing in the shower” when it comes to attracting women.

Go to any bar, full of drunks, and you’ll see what I mean in a blatant way. But other guys do it in more subtle ways, and get the same result. They do things they know—absolutely, 100% know—will make a woman think they’re an ass, but they just can’t help themselves.

They’ll brag, try to loudly impress women, be demeaning to them, rude or just say something downright stupid. They know it’s a turn off—but they do it before they think, and soon enough they’re just pissing in the shower.

One of the most important skills of attraction you can learn is this: think about the purpose of your communication and the likely result of what it is you’re going to say, before you say it. Add just a microsecond pause before you let the words come out, just long enough to stop yourself from saying something you know is an attraction killer.

Hone this skill, and it will save you in the moment. Hell, we all have the urge to uriniate, but all also have the ability to control that urge. Use that ability, else you may just have to put a sign in your living room, reminding you not to do something you know you shouldn’t.
