Don't be a sucker, be a learner

Hey guys,

Ever gotten any emails promising "adult dating sites" or "hot hook ups?" If you have a computer you probably have--and you've also probably wondered, if just for a fleeting second if they could be real. Common sense said otherwise, but often the desire to believe something that sounds good can override common sense--that's why people fall for cons and scams.

I once talked to a guy who'd been heavily involved in the creation of one of these sites, and he gleefully told me how most of the female profiles were fake (around 85%) and how many guys "fell for it over and over." He was not, shall we say, concerned with delivering value to his customers.

A whole new approach to dating, women, and relationships that allows me to choose my own relationships with women, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, devoid of all heartbreak or misery, and I'm convinced any man can copy what I'm doing, no matter your looks, age, or income. Why would any sane man reveal these secrets if they were true? To discover the answer go to http://www.johnalanis.com/ultimate_system.htm right now.

So, should you pay attention to any of these sites at all? The answer is NO and, strangely, yes--but for different reasons than attracting women.

Recently a subscriber of mine wrote me, asking me why he was getting so many responses on one of these sites, even though he hadn't put a picture up. He gave me his login information, and I had a look at his in box--sure enough, loaded with "replies."

Were they real? Of course not--they were all designed to get him to open his wallet and pay for the privilege of upgrading to a full membership. And I assure you, not one of them was real.

Listen, if a woman wants to meet a guy for casual purposes, she doesn't have a problem doing so. Not to say that a few don't go to sites like this, because there are a FEW that do. But it is a terrible waste of your time to try to meet one there--plenty of other places to meet great women.

It is not, however, a terrible waste of time to create a profile on one of these sites, and pay attention to what they do from a persuasion point of view. They've been around since the dawn of the internet, surviving without venture capital and turning out huge profits. They're successful because so many guys want to believe what they say is true, even though they know better. As a consequence, they spend money with them, many for months and months, using it as a distraction from the real world.

Seeing how they do it will give you great insights into how human behavior really works, not how it should work. The largest of these sites is the 57th most visited website on the internet and has been for many, many years--that in and of itself is worth paying attention to.

On with the fun....
