Is the naughty boy the same as the jerk?

Hey guys,

I got a very good question from a subscriber that I want to address today. It has to do with the difference between what I call the "naughty boy" and the out and out jerk. The differences are crucial, and if you cross the line between the two, you can get in trouble with women.

A whole new approach to dating, women, and relationships that allows me to choose my own relationships with women, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, devoid of all heartbreak or misery, and I'm convinced any man can copy what I'm doing, no matter your looks, age, or income. Why would any sane man reveal these secrets if they were true? To discover the answer go to http://www.johnalanis.com/ultimate_system.htm right now.

Hi John,

I just got through reading this article and I remember you saying something about women liking naughty boys. My idea of a Naughty boy/Thug is somebody who's a bully, troublemaker that gets in trouble with the law, loots, shoots, stabs and grabs. Does this apply to all Naughty boys/Thugs? Help me understand why a woman wants a guy that's has law breaking potential or that has a criminal record a mile long. I knew a guy that was a bad boy/Thug that was a high school drop out and had a reputation throughout the town. He was a big fish in a little pond and pretty much he's just a notch below the Anti-Christ. Explain to me why smart and intelligent women are attracted to these kind of guys.

JA: Thanks for the email, David--Awhile back I was out in LA, taking part in an infomercial shoot for a friend of mine. Anyways, you bring up a great question. A naughty boy is NOT a thug or a jerk. Women are attracted to elements of thugs and jerks because they have a sense of authority about them (however warped it is), and they can be exciting in the moment. But their behaviors lead to long term chaos and destruction, and they eventually kill the attraction they create.

The naughty boy takes the attractive elements of a jerk/bad boy out of the destructive behavior. Think back to when you were in grade school. Remember the class clown, the guy who loved to make everyone laugh? He was always doing things he shouldn't, but he did so in the spirit of fun. He didn't have a mean bone in his body. Even though the teacher had to discipline him, he or she did so while holding back a grin. The naughty boy is free spirited, and in the moment, but his goal is to make everyone (including himself) laugh and have a good time.

NOW... that being said, there is one thing you need to know about being the "naughty boy." Women are initially attracted to naughty boys, but they really want MEN. The whole trick is to be a man with a naughty boy side that you take out when at the appropriate time, but that you also know when to put away and become serious. That's the whole key, switching between the two. And as far as the jerk goes, you want to get rid of all destructive behavior. There's no place in attraction for that.

Thanks for the great question, David!

On with the fun....
