Is this the dawn of the "X-Box Generation?"

Last Monday night I watched the over-rated Carolina Panthers pee away yet another fourth quarter lead to an Iggles team they should have beaten easily.

During the broadcast, one of the Eagles players, Brian Westbrook (who's all of 27 years old) made a very revealing comment about his younger teammates.

A whole new approach to dating, women, and relationships that allows me to choose my own relationships with women, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, devoid of all heartbreak or misery, and I'm convinced any man can copy what I'm doing, no matter your looks, age, or income. Why would any sane man reveal these secrets if they were true? To discover the answer go to http://www.johnalanis.com/ultimate_system.htm right now.

Here's what he said: "these young guys coming into the league now are emotionally fragile. They can't handle being yelled at. They're too used to playing X-Box."

I couldn't agree more. Guys today, especially younger guys are emotionally fragile, unable to endure any kind of duress. If someone raises their voice, they tear up and want a hug. If someone criticizes them they start whining and blaming others.

They think they're entitled to things that have to be earned--and when they discover that the earning is not so easy they fold up the tent and go home.

If you want to attract women, you need to be mentally tough, able to adjust and adapt when situations don't go your way. If you get rejected, yelled at, friended, slapped, or dumped, you need to be able to shake it off, get up and quickly move on.

Men today do not deal with adversity well--yet success is all about how you deal with adversity, especially from a mental standpoint. The successful man realizes that in order to succeed on a consistent basis he must constantly overcome adversity--it's just part of the game.

Any time spent whining or feeling sorry for yourself is time that could have been used to overcome the next set of adverse circumstance, setting yourself up for success.

Don't join the X-Box Generation. If you want to succeed with women, and in other areas, earn your way into the perennial generation of men who get results via consistently overcoming adversity.

On with the fun....
