An unusual attraction lesson from... Twisted Sister?

Before we get started, I want to remind everyone to pay close attention to today's afternoon email entitled, "How to Claim Your Gift from the King." I'm going to be giving away a very valuable free gift to the first 200 subscribers to claim it, and I'm going to be revealing how you can be one of them in this email.

A few days before Christmas I went to the CNN website to see what kind of bad things were happening in the world. Imagine my surprise when one of the top stories--replete with a full video interview--was Twisted Sister putting out a Christmas album.

A whole new approach to dating, women, and relationships that allows me to choose my own relationships with women, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, devoid of all heartbreak or misery, and I'm convinced any man can copy what I'm doing, no matter your looks, age, or income. Why would any sane man reveal these secrets if they were true? To discover the answer go to http://www.johnalanis.com/ultimate_system.htm right now.

Not only was it a Christmas album, it was an album with classic Christmas songs performed as Twisted Sister hits--"Come All Ye Faithful" is sung to the music of "We're Not Gonna Take It."
Now, Twisted Sister really hasn't put out an album with new music in over 20 years--they've done some "best of," a few live albums, and some remakes, but nothing really new. All of sudden, though, they're in the news again.

Why? There are plenty of good business reasons why (these guys are not stupid), and one "attraction reason why." From a business point of view, they got a lot of publicity by providing an unusual story linked to a holiday, a tried and true PR formula. Not only that, now they have a recurring story, something they can drag out every year since it's timely. The Christmas album also draws attention to their past albums, so they'll get a surge of royalties.

They also made a small cartoon, which is featured on you tube, and a Christmas video (with a hot woman, of course) that's a knockoff of the We're Not Gonna Take It video. All of this is smart business.

However, there is one key element that makes this whole thing work for them: the band is laughing at themselves. The whole thing was done in the spirit of outrageous fun, something that is lacking in today's music (Dee Snider was sure to point this out). They identified a "gap" in the marketplace, and people responded.

If you watch the video and the cartoon, the words cheesey, corny, goofy et al, don't even begin to describe it. But that's what makes the whole thing work.

Understand this: one of the most attractive traits a man can have is the ability to laugh at himself. This shows true confidence, and a great sense of humor, two things that are important to women. Both of these things are sorely lacking in today's whiney men. This presents a "marketplace gap" for you, much like it did for Twisted Sister in the music industry. Adopt this trait, and you will always have women around you, even jumping on you--just like they do at the end of the "Come All Ye Faithful video."

On with the fun....
