New Year's-- a time for review and results, not resolutions

Finally, the holidays are over. That's not to say I don't enjoy them--I do, but by the end of them, I'm ready for them to be done, ready to get on with the New Year's work.

Many people write out goals or come up with new years resolutions because they feel they should, only to be sucked back into the routine of daily life.

What if everything you ever thought you knew about dating and relationships was just plain wrong? Would you keep doing the same things and getting the same results? Or would you try something new and radically different? To stop dating, and start living, go to http://www.johnalanis.com/ultimate_system.htm before this site is removed.

I'm really not into resolutions because very few people who make them achieve them. They're more of a "feel good band aid" than a useful tool. But what is a useful tool is reviewing your routines, and outcomes, then making appropriate adjustments.

This is not something you should do just at New Year's--it's something you should do constantly. But New Year's is not a bad time for review. What was it you did or are doing right? What was is you did or are doing that didn't get you the results you wanted?

If you're one of the few people in the world who takes responsibility for your own outcomes, who believes everything good or bad that happens to you is your fault, then periodically reviewing your results and processes is essential to your continued success.

That's the way you get results, not resolutions.
